About My Lighthouse Photography

I have added this page in response to a growing demand for my lighthouse photos. If you are in need of photos of Long Island lighthouses for media, corporate, or personal purposes, please read on.

Subjects: I have begun digitizing my older photos, and will be adding some new ones as time allows. Here are some small versions of what I currently have available (If you don't see what you are looking for, ask me about it).

Eaton's Neck, NY

Fire Island, NY

Sandy Hook, NJ

Orient Point, NY

Long Beach Bar, NY

Latimer Reef, NY

Horton Point, NY

Sea Girt, NJ

Sandy Hook, NJ

Stepping Stones, NY

Others I have, but have not yet digitized:

Formats: Most of my best photos are 35mm slides. Some of them have been made into digital images. I also have many digital images (300dpi) that are appropriate for newspaper/newsletter/magazine/web use.

Philosophy: In short, I try to capture the essence of the site and its history. As a lighthouse researcher, preservationist, and author, I have an understanding of, and respect for, the subject. I generally try to capture some of the drama of the site, and avoid the same shots everyone else has (though it can be tough to find new shots of an oft-photographed subject). I DO NOT digitally manipulate my photos, or use any filters other than UV or polarizing (if necessary). If I didn't see it on site, you won't see it in my photos.

Some of the places my photos have appeared:

Availability of my Photos: I can provide groups of photos for media and corporate purposes. I generally do not offer single prints of my work (I keep a busy schedule), but will consider projects that offer appropriate compensation and/or exposure (pardon the pun). If you are interested, please e-mail me (or call 631-645-5230 if necessary).

Photo Samples: Contact me if you are seriously interested. The photos on my web site do not represent my best work.

A little about me:
