Who Are We?

We're lighthouse fans, just like you.

We're people who enjoy the history, the architecture, the stories, the symbolism and the sense of adventure that surrounds historic lighthouses.

We're people who enjoy spending time with other "lighthouse people," and learning from, and teaching, each other.

We're people who like to smile, and laugh, and enjoy the view from the top of a lighthouse.

We're people from various backgrounds.

We're people who have volunteered at lighthouses before or been active in lighthouse preservation.

We're people who have never even been to a lighthouse, but enjoy them nonetheless.

We're people who live on Long Island. We're also people who no longer live on Long Island, but remember the smell of salt air, the crash of waves, the bluffs of the North Shore, the wooded areas of central Long Island, and the sandy beaches of the South Shore. And we're people who have never lived on Long Island but have a family history relating to the area.

We're people who volunteer time, effort, and/or money, as best we can, to help preserve lighthouse history.

If any of the above sound like you, then maybe you're already one of us. All you need to do is make it official. Check out our Membership Page, or e-mail us for more info.
