Please help me find good homes for these cats.

I recently decided to help the feral cats in my neighborhood. Thus far, I have been able to get most of them to become friendly with me, and have had to have one of them treated for an eye infection. Now, I need to find good homes for them.

Here are the cats who need homes. I believe many of them to be related. Those cats are mostly long-haired, with extra toes. I have come to know some of them well and will share my thoughts on them:

Bear - I think Bear is the father of some of the other cats (the vet suggested this, as well). He is a very nice cat - one of my favorites -  and is pretty laid back. He does protect the family, though, and has been in several fights as a result. In January and February, he had to be treated for a persistent eye infection. In March, he suffered an injury to his left front leg, probably in a fight, which has been infected. It has been treated and is recovering. Bear was neutered and received his shots on April 18. He has tested negative for FIV and leukemia. Bear has extra toes on his front feet, like some of the others. He is very Maine Coon-ish in temperament and appearance. I believe he will make a great, low-maintenance housecat.

Boy - We believe that Boy is Bear's son. Boy is a funny cat. He does not like the cold, and he is not terribly fond of other male cats (though that may change now that he is neutered). Boy was neutered, and received his shots, on April 24.

Baby - Baby is a girl. She is probably a sister to Boy, Goldie, Callie and Little Gee and seems to be the runt of the litter. She's definitely smaller than the others, has a smaller appetite, and is more skittish. She does not have extra toes on her front feet. She took longer than most of the others to become friendly. She is a sweet little girl.

Little Gee - Gee is a short-haired member of the family. She is a very nice cat (although she used to tease my beagle at the back door) and gets along with the other cats fine. Gee has the extra toes on her front feet. Along with Goldie, Gee was one of the "regulars" at feeding time. Gee had a veterinary checkup on April 11, at which time it was discovered she was pregnant. She received her vaccinations, and the vet commented on what a sweet cat she is, further adding that she will make a great house pet. The trip to the vet did not traumatize her too much and, when we brought her back, she did not run away from us or appear to have been affected by the stress. We have her inside the house in a large cage, and she has been the perfect houseguest. She loves attention and even purrs now. As of April 25, she has not yet had her kittens.

Goldie - This is one sweet, and cute, little girl. She loves attention, is affectionate, and gets along fine with the other cats. We call her Miss Movie Star because of her looks and fancy walk. Goldie has bright gold eyes, hence the name. She has the extra toes on her front feet. Along with Gee, Goldie was one of the "regulars" at feeding time. Goldie had kittens in mid-April, but we do not know where. She does still come by to eat every so often, and is still friendly.

Callie - Callie is a short-haired cat, with no extra toes. She does not like to be bothered by other cats when eating, but is pretty good with people. Callie had kittens in early April, but we do not know where. She is not a "regular," although she used to hang around somewhat regularly.

TK (Tan Kitty) - TK is a very nice cat, though he took longer than most to trust me. He has a larger frame than the others, and thick fur. He is affectionate, once he gets to know you, and does not display any aggression. I have been able to use a matting comb (or whatever it is called) on him and he is a handsome guy when cleaned up. I'm not sure if he is related to the others.

White Kitty (WK) - WK, a male, has the prettiest blue eyes. He is skittish, and has been beat up in some cat fights. He has had injuries to his ears, and presently has a cut over his left eye. After these photos were taken, he suffered another cut over his left eye, which resulted in a nasty wound and the loss of some fur. I am sometimes able to pet him.

Zilla - Zilla is a cat that prefers people over other cats. He doesn't seem to be related to the core family. He is quite vocal, and will hiss and swat at the other cats at feeding time. He loves attention from people, though, and has never exhibited any sort of aggression toward me, even when he is eating.

Shorty - Shorty is a relative newcomer, along with Rocky, and does not appear related to the core family. She is very affectionate with the other cats, but still maintains a distance from me. She appears to be pregnant.

Rocky - Rocky will not come near me yet, and runs if approached. He seems t be friendly with Shorty, as they often appear together. He seems like a nice cat and is not aggressive toward the other cats.

I have the following requirements for adoption:

1. Any animal I adopt out must be spayed or neutered. I will be happy to make the arrangements and drop the cat off at the vet, then meet you when it is time to take it home. If the cat is already spayed or neutered, this is not an issue.
2. The cat must be tested and vaccinated for FIV and leukemia, and treated for any illness or parasite infestation.
3. The cat must be kept indoors only. Cats left outdoors are subject to injury from cars, dogs, other cats, cruel people, infections, parasites, disease and many other nasty things. They also injure and kill wildlife, and are a nuisance to many people.
4. If, at any time, you decide that you cannot keep the cat, you will contact me and allow me to find a new home for it.

I would prefer if you used St. Francis Animal Hospital in Oakdale (631-567-1359), where the cats' records are, but this is not mandatory, as long as you have a regular veterinarian.
